GHS sponsored grant that was used to buy emotional support items at AES

Atherton Elementary School allocated the $10,000 GHS funds to purchase furniture and supplies that facilitate flexible seating arrangements and calming areas within each of the fifteen K-6 classrooms. This initiative has enabled all students to select seating options that accommodate their diverse emotional and physical needs, as well as to access designated calming spaces when emotional factors impact their participation in instructional activities. The funding has ensured equitable availability across all classrooms, and both staff and students have noted positive impacts on the overall classroom environment.
