Welcome to Atherton Community Schools Bond Proposal Information Section
On February 23, 2010, Atherton Community Schools will be asking our residents to vote to approve an increase of 3.33 mills per year to borrow $14,070,000 for critical improvements to our aging school facilities. For a home with a market value of $80,000 this amounts to a property tax increase of $133/year; $11.10/month; or $0.36/day.

TaxCalc® estimates the after tax impact of millage backed bond proposals by considering the Michigan's homestead tax credit and the federal income tax deduction of property tax. Some Taxpayers may receive part or all of the property tax increase back in the form of an increased tax credit. These Taxpayers are more likely to endorse a tax increase if they are aware of the tax credit benefits. TaxCalc® is an efficient tool for Taxpayers to obtain this valuable information.
